River Clean-up Day

15 September

This year we would like to dedicate one day during Cleanup and Recycle Week, to the enormous importance of protecting and restoring the rivers in South Africa.  After all, this is how land based litter reaches our beautiful coastline.  There are many heroes who are making a difference and we would like to acknowledge their commitment and dedication.

Who are these heroes?

Recycling Day

17 September

Recycling day aims to increase awareness by educating communities about the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling.

Clean-up and Recycle Week 2021

13-18 September

Each year, the local plastics industry encourages citizens to help make a difference where they live, work, learn or play by participating in Clean-Up & Recycle SA Week.

This year, we encourage every South African to be an eco-warrior… one who wears a mask, maintains safe distancing and makes a difference in their immediate area.

So if you need assistance with bags, please contact one of the coordinators in your area:  Coordinators Contact Details
