Clean-up and Recycle Week

Sep 16 - Sep 21

- Free

We are preparing for the 2019 Clean-up and Recycle Week with the highlight being the International Coastal Cleanup on

Saturday, 21 September 2019

Have you registered your Cleanup?

Please register your cleanup/s as soon as possible.  We would like to capture all registrations by end August 2019.If you’re in the KwaZulu Natal areas, please use this registration form.

Who to contact?

Registration forms should be sent to:
KwaZulu Natal Areas:                          Varsha Naidu Moodley (Sea World) – vnaidu@seaworld.org.za
Cape Town Area:                                   Aaniyah Omardien (The Beach Co-op) – aaniyahthebeachcoop@gmail.com
Rest of the Coast and other areas:     John Kieser – john.kieser@plasticssa.co.za

The International Coastal Cleanup is the largest coastal clean-up internationally and nationally and we are working towards covering as much of the coastal regions, offshore islands and waterways of South Africa.

Do you know an eco-warrior who deserves recognition?

We are also in search of those individual “champions” that organize cleanups during the year.  If you know of someone that you think needs some recognition and some cash as a prize, please join us in the Caroline Reid Award and send us their details in the nomination form.

Please pass this message on to anyone that you believe could be part of this initiative to ensure that awareness is increased on non-littering and proper waste management, and how the lack of these factors is affecting the environment negatively.

Please follow us on Facebook for regular updates on cleanups happening in your area and notify us of cleanups in your vicinity too.
